WTF? Clint Eastwood’s Wife Doing a Reality Show

I loves me some Clint Eastwood.  And, I love me some reality tv even more.  But, why in the HELL is he going along with this silliness?

Dina Ruiz Eastwood is doing a reality show, Mrs. Eastwood & Company.  It will be on E! and premieres next week.  It will focus more on her and her daughters and some band she manages, and less on Clint.  I don’t give a good crap about her.  He’s not thrilled about it, but will probably do some drive-by appearances.  “Hi Honey, I’m home” and disappear.

I look at reality tv for drama.  I’m not interested in drama between Clint and Dina.  I don’t know or care enough about her to bother watching.  But, this is not going to help his career.  Not that it needs help.  I don’t think it will hurt it either.  At least, I hope not.

Clint, you really needed to put your foot down on this one.  Just no no no and more NO!

EDIT:  And now this chick and her daughter are on The View promoting it!  Well hell, Jaleel White is actually endorsing it, saying he likes it.  Good luck to her, I guess.  I still won’t be watching it.  (Famous last words…)

Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal Season Finales

Dammit, Grey’s Anatomy needed a two-hour finale!

I love Meredith and Christine, and their crazy babbling from the crash had me laughing.  “My sister is dead, my husband is dead, do you think they’re dead, OMG, they’re both dead!”  “I don’t know, I lost my shoe!”  Plane crash was not a laughing matter, but when you’re traumatized, you just babble.

Damn, they killed Lexi.  At least she got to die happy, with Mark saying “I love you, we were meant to be” being the last thing she heard.

Owen didn’t even get the messages about them not showing up until late night.  Too late to send out a search party since its night.  So now, they have to wait until daylight.  He has to interrupt the Chief who’s hosting the Residents Dinner and Cally, who is waiting for Arizona in her sexy lingerie.

Will Mark survive?  Meredith, Christina, Derek look like they’ll make it through.  Will Derek’s arm survive or will he become an administrator?

September can’t get here fast enough.

Then we have Scandal.  Quinn finds the reporter with scissors in his neck.  I’m yelling “NOOOO, don’t pull it out, he’ll die!” and she pulls it out and he dies.

Olivia gives up the President again, by having the wife claim it was her on the tape.  Save the marriage by getting the wife pregnant.  Just, bleh.  I don’t like Olivia and the President.  I like that she’s on his team and does the dirty work to keep him in office.  I just don’t like the chemistry.

The killer (I don’t really care enough to remember his name) probably killed Billy.  Then goes to Cyrus and gets him to say he’ll wire the killer the money for the girl, Amanda.  Really Cyrus?  You’re smarter than that!  It’s on tape, you dumbass!

The President forced the VP to jump denounce Billy, by blackmailing her with her teenage daughter’s abortion.  Family values, blahblahblah.  Yep, you all have skeletons in your closet you bunch of hypocrites.

So this whole thing ends with a “Who is Quinn?”  I can’t really say I care.  She’s as boring as watching my toenails grow.  But, I probably will in September.

I’ve said “I don’t care”  or “I don’t like” three times in this.  But, I do like the show.

Goodbye Desperate Housewives

I can’t believe I didn’t post a goodbye to Desperate Housewives!

The finale was May 13th.  Mrs McClusky died peacefully.  Renee got married.  Lynette and Tom got back together and moved to New York City thanks to Katherine offering her a CEO job.    Bree was found innocent of murder because Mrs. McCluskey copped to doing it.  So Bree and the lawyer got together and moved to Massachussets.  Bree won a political office. Susan helped her daughter, Julie, deliver her & Parker’s baby.  Then drove out of town.   Gabby got a mega promotion.  She and Carlos made more money and moved into a mansion.

As Susan and the family drove out of town, most of the people who died over the course of the show watched in ghost form.  Edie wasn’t there.  But, yeah with the lawsuit Nicolette Sheridan filed, I’m not surprised she wasn’t invited back.  She burned herself, bad, whether the story was true or not.  I rewound my dvr a few times, and I still couldn’t place ALL of the people they showed.

But, dammit why can’t they get together one weekend a year?  Because people move on I guess.  But, still.. that sucks!

Anyway, it had a good run.  Even if it did lose some of its oomph in the later years.  I did have a sad when I deleted it from the DVR.  Thanks for the memories girls!

A lot off my shows were cancelled, my dvr is going to get a rest.  Ringer, Secret Circle, The Firm, Alcatraz, some others.  Of course when September comes around, I’ll be scrambling yet again.

Raven Simone, Gay or Nay?

Or who the hell really cares?

There are reports out that The Enquirer is outting Raven Simone, and stating that she lives with her girlfriend, in New York City.  Supposedly her family isn’t happy at all, but she put her foot down, making sure they know that her bedroom is none of their business!  If that  is true, GOOD JOB RAVEN

If she felt she needed need to hide this from the world, she shouldn’t.  I’ve seen her in various things, but I will always see Olivia from The Cosby Show first.  So in the back of my mind I see a cute lil girl being gay.  Isn’t 3 years old way too young to know?  Then I slap myself back into reality.  As a 26-year old adult (is she really?  Damn I’m old), be who you are.  Most of the public will still love you.  And hopefully your family will come around as well.  And, well, those who can’t..  give them time or write em off.

Personally, I don’t think it’s anyone’s business.  But, we’re all curious about celebrities private lives.  Some seem to get mega publicity with the  “Are they or aren’t they?”  While I can understand those who are confused, just figuring it out for themselves, once you have accepted it yourself , don’t hide it.  Your fans will still love you.  The more people try to hide this, the harder the media goes after them.  Not acknowledging one way or the other isn’t necessarily hiding it.  Queen Latifah just doesn’t answer.  Change the subject, give em the death stare, whatever.  My sex life is MY sex life.  But when you deny deny deny it to the nth degree until pics come out, you’re screwed.

If you’re hiding out in spas and paying for “favors,”  then buying off people to be quiet because you’re married with children, that’s a whole different story.  True or not, you got some issues going on for sure.  You need to work em out.  You’re really not doing yourself any favors.

Last Dance – Rest in Peace Donna Summer

Donna Summer, THE Disco Diva, passed away today at 63 years old from cancer.  I read one report that said  lung cancer from 9/11.  I really hope not.  But, cancer is cancer, and it’s a messed up thing to go from.

My thoughts are with her family and loved ones.  Rest in peace Ms. Summer.
