Bashing Adelind?

13 Jun

So, I’m watching Franklin & Bash last night, and in comes Janie.  I do a double take.  OMG, that’s Adelind from Grimm!  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!  Now I have a problem.  I enjoyed the banter between Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s Bash and Claire Coffee’s Janie, and was waiting for the obligatory  bed romp that brings them back together.  But, she’s done such a good job at making me hate Adelind, I don’t want them to work things out!

She’s welcome to continue being his competition in the court.  They can even do the horizontal limbo (does that phrase make me sound old?).  But, no getting back together.  Which makes it kinda tough since last night’s episode  showed that she ended her engagement, so I’m sure that’s where it is heading.

I deserve a slap upside my head because when I went to check IMDb to make sure I was right, I found out Claire played Nadine Crowell on General Hospital.  I feel guilty for not knowing because I was hoping she and Nick would work out.

Dallas – 20 Years Later

12 Jun

English: Larry Hagman attending the "Nigh...

Dallas is a show I loved.  Unfortunately, I never got to watch it the way I wanted to.  I watched it at the beginning (1978), I was almost a teenager.  Then hanging out took over, and VCRs weren’t really popular or available (or affordable) back then.  Getting married, having kids, the hubby would watch it occasionally.  But, it wasn’t his thing.  So even with two televisions, we stayed in one room watching one television.  So, I only got to watch it when he wasn’t around.  I kept up with it through Soap Opera Digest, and other ways, but by then I guess I just accepted it.  When I’d visit people who had Soap Opera Network, I’d watch it when I could.  I recently watched some episodes on TNT.  That was fun.

Anyway, I am SO looking forward to tomorrow when Dallas returns!  I have loved Larry Hagman since I watched I Dream of Jeannie repeats.  Patrick Duffy was so hot back then!  Linda Gray played a great alky.  So bring it on!  DVR is already programmed, even though I’ll watch it live.  Can’t wait to see  John Ross Jr. and Christopher go at it.  I’m sure I’ll hate little JR, because I know he’ll throw the “You’re the adopted kid, you’re not even a real Ewing!”  Being adopted and having had someone say something similar, I’ll be yelling to Christopher to shoot the bastard and bury him under the oil wells.  What?  There has to be oil wells, it’s Dallas!

I’ll miss Jock and Miss Ellie and Pam.  BUT, according to Wikipedia, Charlene Tilton (Lucy), Ken Kercheval (Cliff) and Steve Kanaly (Ray) are recurring.  So YAY!

Are you going to watch?  Who was/are your favorite characters?

Shibas – A Big Bag of Cuteness

11 Jun

A few years ago, I came across the Shiba Inu Puppy Cam.  Unfortunately, I only found it a few weeks before the puppies were adopted (The A-Team).  But, it was just full of gushy goodness!  Then I sort of forgot about it.  Didn’t realize the owners would breed more puppies and show them (The B and C Teams).

I was thrilled to read a blog that new puppies had been born (May 21).  Even more thrilled that these puppies were the first batch born to Mom Ayumi, who was one of the pups born back when I was watching!  I feel like an auntie!

Welcome to the D-Team!  Dakota, Daiichi, Dango, Dosha, Daisuki

They are, as of today, 3 weeks old.  They are still kept in a pen.  They mostly sleep and eat from Mom.  But, if you’re lucky enough you get some tussling.

I can’t lie.  My absolute favorite is Miss Dakota.  The little cream puff.

That could change, when they start running around.  But, they’re all just adorable.  If you haven’t checked out the cam, do so now!

True Blood is Back, Better Than Ever

11 Jun

Sunday night is my heaviest television day.  True Blood was full of a bunch of “OMG” moments!

True Blood – While Eric is cleaning up the bloody mess of Nan, he tells Bill, “Fuck Sookie.”  Um, what???  Even Bill looked at him like he bumped his head!  Vampire Authority grabs them, throws them in the trunk, and they blow it up while still in there?  In comes Eric’s (vampire) sister, Nora, to save them.  “We fight like siblings, but we fuck like champions!”  Alrighty then!  I already figured they were going to go back to Sookie, but I see Bill trying to kill Nora.  Can’t let Eric get too comfortable with his high connections.  (I haven’t read the books, so I have no clue how this plays out.)   Vampire Authority at the end, “DO…NOT…MOVE!!!!!”  Oh my!

Sookie gets Pam to turn Tara.  OK, Pam had THE best lines!  “She could end up completely and utterly fucktarded.”  “Super Snatch” “I’m wearing a Walmart sweatsuit for yall”  I loved Little Sookie and Little Tara.  But, that chick looked PISSED after she rose from the ground.

Jason, Jason, Jason.  You’re just a whole bag of stupid.  Sexy, but stupid.  You let Reverend Newell tell you he couldn’t glamour you?  Why didn’t you slam the door in his face?  But, be damned if I didn’t spit water when Newell declared, “I’m a Gay Vampire American!  In comes Jessica to save Jason.  “I’m the Queen, bitch!”

The Borgias – After Juan held the baby over the railing, I knew he didn’t have long to go.  I need to look at Season 1 again.  I swore Juan was semi-nice and only turned into a jerk this season.  Need to really look at this episode again.  I only half paid attention.

The Killing – I like the show, and I hate this show.  Two FULL seasons to find out who killed Rosie Larsen?  After last season’s finale, I wasn’t sure I would watch it this time, but I did.  At least next week is the last.

Drop Dead Diva – I wanted to not like Kim Kardashian on this.  I’m still iffy.  She’s playing herself.  But, Cliff Claven was in this one!  I love Cliff!

AMC is showing Breaking Bad from the beginning!  YAY!  I saw a few of these on one of the network channels (ABC, CBS, NBC) a few months ago, but they stopped showing it.

Time Travel – From The Wire to Deadwood

5 Jun

Omar Little

I mentioned a few posts ago that I was watching The Wire on HBO Go.  Finally finished.  I’d seen many of the shows, was hooked the first season.  But, when they did the docks/ports of Baltimore, I lost interest and started watching it in bits and pieces.  I kept looking on HBO on Demand, but I guess the series is too old (five seasons, 2002-2008) for them to play.  It was cool seeing Dixon from the current 90210 being a drug dealing hoodrat.

Deadwood Season 3 DVD cover

I was thinking about watching Entourage.  Have maybe seen one show.  I know, I know, I’m probably the only person around who never watched it.  But, holy crap, that’s eight seasons (2004-2011)!  So, thanks to this post, I decided to watch Deadwood.  Three seasons (2004-2006) I can handle.  I remember the husband watching this when it was on.  But, I was already watching The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Queer as Folk (bonus points if you remember Queer Duck being shown after this).  And, watching a western set in 1800s really wasn’t grabbing me.

So I’m looking forward to seeing Timothy Olyphant (who I’d never paid much attention to before Justified), Leon Rippy (Saving Grace, Leverage, Alcatraz), Powers Boothe (way too many to list, so I’ll just go with most recent Hatfield and McCoys), Brent Sexton (The Killing, which I want to rant on in another post), and even Gerald McRaney
