My heart sunk at hearing the news that Kathryn Joonston, who played Karen McCluskey on Desperate Housewives, passed away today. She was 72 years old.
She played a crotchety, cranky, lovable old broad on the show. The actress found out she had lung cancer for the second time a couple of years ago. The show wrote it in.
She played on other shows, but this is what I’ll remember her for.
Donna Summer, THE Disco Diva, passed away today at 63 years old from cancer. I read one report that said lung cancer from 9/11. I really hope not. But, cancer is cancer, and it’s a messed up thing to go from.
My thoughts are with her family and loved ones. Rest in peace Ms. Summer.

She had so many songs that I loved. But, at the top of my list is this. I was a kid/early teenager in the 70s, but holy hell this turned me on after I was old enough to understand it!
